Year 11 Study Camp

Although VCE stress is usually associated with Year 12 students, our Year 11 students also share a part of this stress due to sitting one or two different VCE exams this year. This can be a daunting and difficult time for our students who have to utilise the break before the exams effectively to best prepare for them. In response to a high level of demand from our students, the Year 11 Pastoral Care team organised a study camp for our Year 11 students during the Term 3 break. Held at the scenic and welcoming Lyrebird Park Camp and Conference Centre, the participants were treated to a serene and focused study setting. Three mentors were on call to help students with their studies and to support and motivate the students. Each day students discussed different motivational topics and relaxed through fun activities at night. The last day saw students enjoying an outing that included go-karting and a game of laser skirmish as well as a nice lunch. The camp was a positive experience with students utilising their study and fun opportunities to their maximum. Year 12 Pastoral Care programs will involve a greater focus on students’ academic needs and many such study camps are in order. All our students are invited to take part and benefit from these valuable experiences.
